301 – Intermediate French 1
This course is designed for students who have completed the A2 Pre-Intermediate level or have had at least 200 hours of French classes.

Throughout the course, students will learn how to talk about health and lifestyle habits, ask for and give updates on someone’s health, and describe progress, change, or processes. They will also practice explaining preventive actions and expressing necessity or giving clear instructions, essential tools for deeper conversations in French.

Grammar topics include:

  • Comparisons using “pas aussi,” “pas autant,” and adverbs of precision

  • Time markers like dès que, depuis que, ça fait… que, en, and pendant

  • “Il faut que” + the subjunctive, including conjugation and usage of the subjunctive mood

  • The imperative with object pronouns to give commands and directions

  • Tools to express necessity and give clear, structured instructions

This course blends real-life themes, structured grammar, and rich vocabulary to help students gain fluency, accuracy, and confidence in spoken and written French.

  • Classes meet once a week for 2 hours each
