In this 10-week Spanish 103 (Beginner 3) course, covering Units 7–8, you will learn how to order food and drinks in restaurants, talk about eating habits, discuss traditional dishes, describe neighborhoods and cities, ask for and give directions, and express what you like most about a place. You will also create a daily menu and describe your ideal neighborhood using practical, everyday Spanish.

Practice listening, speaking, reading, and writing through engaging, communicative activities designed to help you use Spanish more confidently in real-life situations.

Key grammar and vocabulary include the verbs poner and traer, direct object pronouns (lo, la, los, las), common uses of de and con, quantifiers (algún, ningún, mucho, etc.), and prepositions and adverbs of place (a, en, al lado de, cerca de, lejos de, etc.). Vocabulary topics include food and beverages, cooking methods, kitchen utensils and containers, traditional dishes from Spain and Latin America, city services and places, and adjectives for describing neighborhoods and cities.

Note: A PDF version of the book is included with your registration and will be provided to all students. The physical book is not included in the class price. Students will receive an Amazon link after registration if they would like to purchase a printed copy.

Classes: Once a week, 20 hours total.

No class on Thanksgiving week.
